Key terms used across The Life Lab HQ platform and the Five Formulas methodology. Understanding these concepts will help you get more from the system.
The core framework of The Life Lab HQ. Five life domains — Family, Freedom, Finances, Fitness, and Faith — that together determine overall wellbeing. Most people overinvest in one formula and underinvest in others. The system helps you measure and balance all five.
A numerical score (0–100) representing your current assessed strength in one of the Five Formulas. Scores are generated from the assessment and updated over time as your habits and behaviours change.
A personalised set of daily habits mapped to your Five Formulas goals. Each habit is tagged to a formula, allowing you to see how your daily actions correlate with formula score changes over time.
The Life Lab HQ's personalised AI assistant. Unlike generic AI chat tools, the AI Mentor has access to your goal data, habit tracking history, and formula scores. It provides relevant, specific guidance rather than boilerplate advice.
A structured reflection practice built into the platform. Each week, users reflect on their performance across all five formulas, review habit consistency, and set priorities for the coming seven days. Takes approximately 10 minutes.
The principle that small, consistent actions accumulate into significant results over time. Central to the Life Lab methodology — daily habits that seem trivial individually compound into major formula score improvements over weeks and months.
The degree to which your formula scores are evenly distributed across all five domains. High balance means no single formula is critically under-resourced. Low balance means you may be thriving in one domain while neglecting another.
A habit tied to who you want to become rather than what you want to achieve. Instead of "I want to run a marathon", the identity-based framing is "I am someone who moves their body daily". The platform helps users define identity goals before setting outcome goals.
A formal agreement — with yourself or another person — to complete a specific goal by a specific date. The Life Lab HQ allows users to create digital commitment contracts with optional social accountability.
A foundational belief or principle that supports one of the Five Formulas. Pillars help users understand why a formula matters to them personally, making habits tied to that formula easier to sustain.
The daily view inside the platform showing all active habits, tasks, and check-ins for the current day across all five formulas. Designed to be reviewed in 2–5 minutes each morning.
A visual timeline of your formula scores over time. The Life Graph shows trends, plateaus, and breakthroughs across each formula, helping you connect actions to outcomes and spot patterns.
A focus mode within the platform that temporarily prioritises one formula above the others. Useful during periods when one area of life requires extra attention — job change, health challenge, relationship repair.
The Five Formulas Assessment is a scored questionnaire measuring your current state across all five domains. Results produce a radar chart and formula scores. Recommended to redo every 30–90 days to track progress.
A specific checkpoint within a larger goal. Goals in the platform are broken into milestones with individual deadlines, making large goals trackable and less overwhelming.
